Meet Bill
Built on Service, Grounded in Experience
From the Deschutes Public House to the High Desert’s Finest Homes.
To truly understand Central Oregon, you have to know its people. Since 1976, I’ve seen Bend transform from a quiet mill town into a world-class destination. My journey here has been defined by a simple principle: Service.
Before I was a Real Estate Agent, I spent 30 years in the heart of this community, the restaurant industry. My humble beginnings started as a dishwasher while I was in high school, and I worked my way through every role imaginable: bartender, General Manager for the iconic Deschutes Brewery, owner of Mexicali Rose and O’Healy’s, and eventually Food & Beverage Director for Broken Top Club. Those decades taught me how to manage complex operations, lead with a warm hand, and most importantly, listen to what people truly need.
A "Behind-the-Walls" Perspective
My transition into real estate wasn't a career change; it was a natural evolution. After years in the hospitality world, I moved into the building supply industry then moved on to renovating homes. This gave me a technical "bones-up" education that most agents simply don’t have.
When the market shifted in 2008, I saw an opportunity to bring my construction knowledge and research-heavy approach to the real estate world. For the last 17 years, I’ve used that "builder’s eye" to help my clients navigate the details of a home, from the quality of the foundation to the integrity of the architecture.
Rooted in the Community
My connection to the High Desert is personal. Whether I’m coaching youth skiing for MBSEF and Summit High or spending the last 13 years running the alpine start for the Pole, Pedal, Paddle multi-sport race with my son, I am deeply invested in the culture of Mt. Bachelor and the surrounding trails.
I don’t just see a "real estate situation" as a transaction; I see it as a piece of the history of the town I love. My approach is down-to-earth, approachable, and backed by a lifetime of local insight. Whether you’re looking for your first home in Redmond or a legacy property in Bend, I’m here to do the research and the heavy lifting for you.
